A’ja Wilson’s has been labeled the GOAT and the numbers back it up
After the June 10th injury, A’ja Wilson reemerged to the court with focus and it led to

WNBA history. In just her seventh season, Wilson became the fastest player in league history to score 5,000 career points, hitting the mark in only 238 games. That breaks the previous record of 242 games held by Breanna Stewart.
But the bigger story might be what this milestone signals.
Wilson is only 28 years old. She’s already a 3x MVP, 2x champion, and now owns one of the most efficient scoring runs the league has ever seen. For context, the WNBA’s all-time leading scorer, Diana Taurasi, passed 10,000 points during her 20th season at age 41, and with more than 500 games played.
Wilson just hit the halfway mark in less than half the time.

🔥 Post-Injury Surge
Since returning on June 20th, Wilson’s FG% is up to 47.5%, compared to the 45.3% FG% pre injury. Her blocks are up to 2.7 from 2.3 and her steals are up to 2.3 from 2.0.
Her free throw percentage has dipped slightly post-injury, but she is getting to the line 3 more times a game since returning.
The future is A'One
If Wilson continues at this pace, the conversation around the greatest of all time may need to be revisited sooner than expected.
