The Mystics’ 2026 Draft Haul Looks Straight Out of the Marvel Universe

The Mystics are collecting draft picks like Infinity Stones and for GREAT reason. The 2026 draft class is STACKED and Washington has prepared itself for another legendary run.

Washington has three FIRST round picks.

They’ve got their own.

They’ve got Minnesota’s, which came in that Karlie Samuelson trade back in April 2025.

And they’ve got Seattle’s, thanks to the Brittney Sykes deal at the 2025 trade deadline.

On top of that, they worked in a sneaky little detail with Connecticut — a swap right. That means the Mystics can trade out Minnesota’s 2026 first-rounder for New York’s 2026 first-rounder if it gives them a better spot in the draft.

Moving to the second round, the Mystics have two picks here as well.

Their own.

And Minnesota’s, from the Myisha Hines-Allen trade in 2024.

And to wrap it up, they’ve still got their own third-round pick.

When you add it all up, Washington currently controls six total picks in the 2026 WNBA Draft:

3 in the first round,

2 in the second round,

and 1 in the third round — plus the bonus of that swap option.

That’s a massive war chest for a team that’s clearly building for the future. The Mystics are positioning themselves to have options — whether that’s drafting young talent, moving up the board, or using those picks as trade bait.
